The G.C. Cameron Sanctuary Project
I have an idea and I need your help. You have known me as the singer G.C. Cameron.
It has been a blessing to be able to perform and do what I love to do as well as the opportunity that
being a professional Soul singer has given me for over 40 years. Over time I have come to appreciate
the things which the Creator has given us all. I love to sing, I am in love with the human experience.
I love my wife and my children who I would do anything for and most of all I love my God who created
me and allowed me to become "G.C." as well as George Curtis Cameron.
I have never taken for granted the gifts that the Creator has blessed me with and I never will. I have come
to realize over my many years on this Earth both as a veteran of Vietnam as well as an internationally
known singer and entertainer how precious life truly is.
I also have come to recognize that there is an enemy present among us, a thief in our midst and this entity is
anti peace, anti life, anti love. I call it the stranger in the house. This negative energy form would have us all
suffer the life we've been given and it has amplified it's presence in the world as of late.
As a person who has been blessed to make people all over the world feel good and happy listening to my music
I also recognize the responsibility that comes with that gift. I feel deeply for the things I see in the world that are evidence that a stranger is present in our house.
I want there to be such a place where people can feel loved, feel necessary and not feel unneeded or insignificant. I see a sanctuary where people can come and be at peace. I see a place where people can talk and express themselves and be heard, where their soul can be nourished in a way that lifts their spirit.
The G.C. Cameron Sanctuary will be such a place. Music is my life, my soul's service to humanity and is a healer of human spirit. There will obviously be music in the Sanctuary. There will be so much more than just music however. The G.C. Cameron sanctuary will be a place where people can come and be safe. There are many ills in the world and I do not exist in a dreamworld or under any dillusion. There will always be some degree of suffering and strife as we become stronger through the trial by fire process. It's called growth and it's part of the reason why God put us here.
What I see is an imbalance. The stranger does not play fair and feels not for any of we. I am creating an equalizer in my area of influence. A place where the spirit can be nourished and fed GOOD Soul food. That is what the Sanctuary is about. It exists in a virtual context for now. With your help it can be a tangible, physical reality that will be available to all. I've already determined it's physical location and claimed the land it will be erected on.
You can donate to this ambitious project and work with me to make it happen. I have projected special fund raising concerts for next year and proceeds from all music purchases made on this site will go toward the G.C. Cameron Sanctuary.
